VHF Air band Transceiver model MSA-8155

MSA-8155 is an air band digital transceiver for ground-air-ground communications in the frequency range 118 ÷ 136,975 MHz (air band), supporting AM and VDL (VHF data link) mode 2.

The new VDL mode 2 allows automatic transmissions between planes and ground stations, like short messages, position data,   and communications between pilots and traffic controllers.

Adopting a technology based on microprocessor, the use of the transceiver (user-friendly approach) becomes extremely simple and its control is furnished of a self-diagnosis system on its operating conditions (Built In Test Equipment - BITE).
